Anime KonoSuba Finds a New Home on Pluto TV With Free Access to Season 1
--
FOLIO OTN – Fans of chaotic fantasy comedy have another opportunity to enjoy KonoSuba, as the popular isekai anime is joining Pluto TV’s lineup. The Paramount-owned streaming service has secured the rights to the series’ first season, adding another recognizable anime title to its free catalog.
The first season is scheduled to begin airing on August 15, 2026. Viewers in Spain will be able to watch two episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 p.m. local time. This gives newcomers an easy way to experience the beginning of Kazuma and his unusually troublesome party.
Pluto TV’s biggest attraction is that viewers do not need a traditional paid subscription to access its programming. The platform operates with advertising-supported content, allowing audiences to watch selected shows without paying a monthly fee. It also offers on-demand viewing for available titles.

For KonoSuba, however, the current deal covers only the opening season. The rights previously associated with Jonu Media have now moved to Pluto TV, giving the platform an opportunity to introduce the comedy to viewers who may not have encountered it before.
The story follows Kazuma Sato, a teenage gamer whose life takes an absurd turn after his unexpected death. He encounters Aqua, a goddess who offers him the chance to begin again in a magical world, and Kazuma accepts the opportunity to start over in a fantasy realm.
His second life quickly becomes much less glamorous than expected. Instead of becoming an impressive fantasy hero, Kazuma finds himself surrounded by eccentric companions and repeatedly dragged into ridiculous situations. Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness each contribute their own brand of chaos, turning ordinary adventures into comedic disasters.
