Finally! World Trigger Officially Releases the Sequel to Volume 4, Fans Have Been Waiting for It
--
FOLIO OTONITY – After wrapping up my review of the third volume of World Trigger —with my excitement through the roof after Chika fired a shot so powerful it obliterated an enemy in a single blast—I was really looking forward to the release of Volume 4.
If you’ve been following our reviews so far, you’ll know that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first three volumes of Daisuke Ashihara’s manga.
So much so that I’ve even wondered on several occasions why this shonen isn’t more famous. While it’s true that it may not have the same star power as other big titles, like One Piece, it’s very entertaining.

Plus—and this is especially for those of you who might not be familiar with it—its premise is relatively original compared to what we usually find in this genre.
Although I’ve long thought that these tropes are outdated, it’s true that they’re still useful (to a certain extent) for understanding what we’re in for.
In this case, *World Trigger* features what we’ve seen many times before: a trio of protagonists (two boys, one girl) who must face a certain kind of threat and use a series of special powers to do so. There’s humor, there’s action, and there’s a narrative that stands out for its pace and readability.
