The Vermilion Mask Episode 5 Review, Peru Faces a Painful Past as a Mysterious Mask Unlocks New Possibilities
--
FOLIO OTN – The upcoming episode of The Vermilion Mask is set to introduce another dangerous situation for Peru and his companions. Episode 5, titled “The Mask of Telepathy,” will premiere on November 7, 2026, bringing a new rescue mission, a deeply personal confession, and an unexpected encounter that could change the direction of the story.
The latest preview information offers a glimpse into Peru's next adventure as he continues traveling with his companions. This time, the group must find a way to rescue Tina, the daughter of Moreno, while dealing with the consequences of their previous encounters.
After spending the night at Gianni's apartment, Peru and the others begin discussing how they can bring Tina to safety. Gianni is a debt collector associated with Garofano and someone Moku already knows, making his apartment a temporary place where the group can organize their next move.
During their discussion, Peru suggests using the Mask of Disguise as the key to completing the rescue operation. This unusual magical object allows its wearer to change their appearance according to their imagination. Its transformation ability also extends to objects that the wearer touches.
The mask could give the group an effective way to infiltrate a guarded location without attracting unnecessary attention. However, using such an extraordinary ability may also introduce unpredictable complications.
He admits that he was responsible for the deaths of Gaston and Gaston's apprentices. This confession connects directly to the tragedy that shaped his journey and explains why he has continued carrying such a heavy sense of guilt.
Peru was once a student of the legendary mask craftsman Gaston Roux. However, after becoming controlled by the Mask of the Warrior God, he lost control of himself and unintentionally killed people who were important to him, including his own master.
Since then, Peru has dedicated himself to finding and destroying Gaston's masks scattered throughout the world. His mission is not simply about preventing dangerous objects from falling into the wrong hands. It is also an attempt to make amends for the tragedy he caused.

This meeting introduces a new dilemma for the protagonist. Crown's recruitment attempt could place Peru in a difficult position, particularly because his current mission already involves confronting individuals connected to the mysterious masks.

The Vermilion Mask Episode 5 is scheduled to premiere in Japan on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. JST through the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV broadcast networks, with certain regional exceptions.
International viewers can also look forward to its streaming release on Crunchyroll. According to the published schedule, the English-subtitled version is expected to become available on the same day, although availability may vary depending on location.
With the rescue plan, Peru's confession, and Crown's unexpected appearance all taking place in one episode, the next installment could become an important chapter in the protagonist's journey.
