There's No No My Hero Academia Remake
According to studio president Masahiko Minami, Studio BONES currently has no plans to remake My Hero Academia. This statement follows the conclusion of the anime's main television run, which sparked questions among fans about whether the long-running superhero series would eventually receive a remake similar to Fullmetal Alchemist.
Minami cited Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood as an exception rather than proof that BONES intends to remake more titles from its catalog. The original Fullmetal Alchemist anime began airing before Hiromu Arakawa's manga was finished, meaning the adaptation eventually outpaced the source material's storyline.
According to Minami, Brotherhood was created for a different reason: the studio wanted to produce an anime that could follow and fully adapt Arakawa's completed manga story. He described the situation as a "unique case," distinct from what is typically considered an anime reboot.
