--
FOLIO OTN – The journey of Subaru Natsuki is about to enter another dangerous chapter as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 prepares to continue its story with the highly anticipated Recapture Arc. Following the events of the previous storyline, the new arc is scheduled to premiere on August 12, 2026, bringing Subaru and his allies back into a world filled with uncertainty, powerful enemies, and seemingly impossible challenges.
The newly released promotional trailer gives viewers a glimpse of the conflicts waiting ahead. Rather than offering a peaceful continuation, the footage points toward another intense confrontation involving Subaru and several key characters. The upcoming episodes are expected to expand on the unresolved conflicts surrounding the Watchtower and the dangerous forces that have been manipulating events behind the scenes.
The Recapture Arc will serve as the second major part of the fourth season. The first portion, known as the Loss Arc, consisted of 11 episodes, while the new storyline is planned to run for eight episodes. Together, the two sections bring the season to a total of 19 episodes, creating a substantial continuation of Subaru's latest ordeal.

One of the biggest elements viewers can expect to see again is Subaru's mysterious ability known as Return by Death. Whenever he dies, Subaru can return to a predetermined point in the past, allowing him to change his decisions and search for a better outcome. However, this ability comes with an enormous psychological burden because he must repeatedly experience death and failure while keeping the truth hidden from most people around him.
The Pleiades Watchtower remains an important location in the unfolding story. Subaru and his companions have to deal with threats connected to the tower while searching for a way to reverse the disastrous circumstances surrounding them. The presence of powerful Sin Archbishops also raises the stakes, making every decision potentially decisive for the group's survival.
The main voice cast will return for this new part of the story. Yusuke Kobayashi once again voices Subaru, while Rie Takahashi returns as Emilia. Other familiar characters, including Beatrice, Ram, Rem, Julius and Anastasia, are also expected to remain part of the continuing narrative.
