As we already know, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an adaptation of the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020.
Set in Japan during the Taisho era, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager who lost his family in a demon attack and is fighting to save his younger sister, Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon. To date, the manga has sold more than 220 million copies worldwide.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Celebrates First Anniversary
The animation studio ufotable is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza Returns, which first premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025. To mark the occasion, ufotable shared new illustrations of Shinobu Kocho and Kanao Tsuyuri via its official X account on July 18, 2026.
The illustration is part of a series of three images themed around the Infinity Castle Arc that were uploaded in sequence. The piece, titled No. 2: Shinobu and Kanao, depicts Shinobu smiling in soft light, while Kanao gazes at her with a meaningful expression. The visual immediately sparked an emotional response from fans.
In its post, ufotable explained that this illustration was actually considered as part of the special "Connecting" illustration series introduced at Comic Market 106 last year. However, the image was ultimately redrawn and released specifically to commemorate the first anniversary of the film Infinity Castle Part 1.
